Welcome to my little spot on the interwebs. My name is Lisa Yeme. How do I begin to encapsulate myself into a couple paragraphs? We are all so much more than a simple paragraph, but I will try! I am originally from the Pacific Northwest; I grew up in a small town called Port Orchard. My teenage years were filled with angsty 90s grunge music and dance class. I grew up dancing and performing with some amazing people I still call my friends. When I was 16 I moved to California to finish high school at a performing arts school called Orange County High School of the Arts. I spent the next few years surviving and thriving in a little town called Los Angeles. In 2004 I married the love of my life, moved to San Diego and found my passion for yoga.

I’ve been teaching yoga since 2005, first as a side hustle and then eventually as a full-time gig. I’ve completed three 200 hour trainings as well as my 500 hour in 2013. I’ve been involved in a teacher capacity in thirteen 200 hour yoga teacher trainings. I’ve taught 1000s of yoga classes over the years, too many to count and never enough. I love teaching yoga. I’ve also had the joy of performing in the world of dance again, something I didn’t expect to happen later in my life. In 2019 I became a mom to my beautiful son. I am a writer. I’ve kept a journal for over 20 years, most of my writing I’ve kept to myself, but one day I intend to share much more.

I am a yoga student forever, constantly digging deeper to learn all I can from the challenges I’m faced with. After a two year sabbatical due to the pandemic and early motherhood, I returned to teaching yoga in April 2022. This is where I’m at in my life and I hope to share a little of what I’m learning along the way. Thank you being here!
